The Proust Questionnaire is a list of fun questions that Vanity Fair asks to celebrities! For this activity, have students sit in a circle. You can have them move their desks/tables out of the way and sit on the floor or they can circle up their desks, but they need to be sitting so they can see everyone in the class. START by asking how their weekend was; what did they do? What was the best part? Did they go anywhere? Get them talking and sharing! Provide a comfortable and open environment. You might need to start with an anecdote about your weekend... open up and share something funny about yourself. Let them SEE you as human!! Pick and choose or go down through the list of questions, but be sure to leave time for reflection!! Tweet about something funny or interesting that came from your group discussion! Ask these questions once the group feels comfortable and has opened up...
If you do not have a Twitter account, reflect on the Padlet below!
Step 2: Write a journal entry (as long or short as you'd like) about someone who has been in your life, but who you've lost touch with over the years. What do you remember most about them? What is your favorite memory of this person? When was the last time your saw or spoke to them? If you could talk to them now, what would you say?
